Purpose and Scope

This division applies to insurers providing motor vehicle liability insurance in this state under personal automobile insurance policies. The division specifies the requirements, procedures, duties, and obligations of these insurers to comply with the Financial Responsibility Verification Program (program) established pursuant to Transportation Code, Chapter 601, Subchapter N.
